The logic of age is impotent faced by the passion of youth. Like almost all young Palestinians, Adel was buffeted by inner emotional storms that combined fury, fear, shame, and youth’s quixotic hopes that one’s personal actions could lessen the world’s evil and alleviate its suffering.
